I have been painting the rooms with carpeting; the green room, pink room and pretty, pretty princess room, hallway, and living room. Everything is done a beige-ish color and I'm doing the trim in a semi-gloss white. I am sooooooo close to being done. This has been a long road, and I'm feeling really good.
Some other stuff I've had to do is replace the threshold. The one that was here was completely rotted out. My brother-in-law and I poured new concrete and I epoxied it down. On Sunday, I paint all the trim and put down the small bit of parquet flooring.
I'm hoping my carpet gets in Monday/Tuesday. I went with an independent company. It saved me tons of cash and the quality is better for the carpet and the pad. If it does come in, I can schedule Thursday as my install day. That will allow me to have the entire Labor day weekend to unpack and get everything in-place.
